“Partner” is one of those must-haves. One of those beautifully nonspecific
words in any agency’s vocabulary. Truth is, it can mean anything. What you need in an agency is much more definitive. You need smarts, chops. A proven commitment to producing what you really want. And what you really need: results.

Remember, you can’t take an agency for a “test drive.”
It’s too darn expensive.

Rule number one: Don’t get distracted. This isn’t always about connecting the dots on a spreadsheet. Nor is it neatly lining up category experience with the services you sell, or who has the best deck for an internal presentation. Nope. It’s not about gift wrapping — it’s about substance.

Real results and long-term success can start with one word.

Obviously, there are big benefits to forming a long-term relationship with a smart agency. But what separates the good agency candidate from the excellent choice, is a sense of understanding about where you are, and a commitment to where you want the business to go. That one word you’re looking for is ‘passion’.
